Suspect dr. Richard Lee, also known as DRL, is being detained by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate has finally detained dr. Richard Lee (DRL) as a suspect in a case of alleged consumer protection violations related to beauty products and services.

Suspect DRL was officially detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center at 9:50 PM WIB on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Chief, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, explained in a statement, that prior to his detention, DRL was questioned for four hours from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB. The suspect was questioned by investigators for 29 questions.

“Before being detained, a health check was conducted, including blood pressure, saturation, and body temperature checks by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Health Unit. The results were normal, and the suspect can resume normal activities,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Friday, March 6, 2026.

As a reminder, DRL underwent his initial questioning as a suspect on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. He was questioned again for almost nine hours on Thursday, February 19, 2026. He was asked 35 questions and was only allowed to go home around 10:30 PM WIB.

Previously, DRL attempted to file a pretrial motion challenging his suspect status in a case of alleged consumer protection violations related to beauty products and services by the Polda Metro Jaya. However, the pretrial motion was rejected by the sole judge at the South Jakarta District Court, Esthar Oktavi, in his ruling. (Bembo)
