progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya held a Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting (Rakor) to secure the 2026 Ketupat Jaya Centralized Police Operation at the Metro Jaya’ Meeting Hall (BPMJ) on Monday, March 9, 2026. The meeting was led by the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri. Also in attendance were the Wakapolda of the Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, the Polda Metro Jaya’s Senior Officials (PJU), and the Kapolres’s.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto explained, that this Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting is part of the Polda Metro Jaya’s readiness to secure the safe, orderly, and smooth homecoming traffic.
“Today, the Polda Metro Jaya held a Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting to secure Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026, which will run from March 13th to 25th,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi to the media.
He also explained, that a total of 6.802 joint personnel from the Polri, the TNI, regional governments, and various community elements will be deployed in Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026. These thousands of personnel will be stationed at 68 security posts, 22 service posts, and 5 integrated posts across strategic locations within the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction.
Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director, Kombes Pol Komarudin added, that security will be implemented in an integrated manner, involving various agencies. This is to ensure that people can travel safely and comfortably during the Eid homecoming (mudik) period and the return journey,” said Kombes Pol Komarudin.
The peak of the mudik flow is estimated to occur between March 16 and 18, 2026. Jakarta is one of the largest sources of travelers heading to various regions such as Sumatera, West Java, Central Java, and East Java.
“We urge people planning to travel home to ensure they are in good health. Ensure their vehicles are in good condition, and plan their trips accordingly to avoid the peak of the homecoming flow,” he said.
The Polda Metro Jaya is also optimizing its 110 Call Center service and preparing various traffic management scenarios to anticipate potential congestion and emergencies during the Eid homecoming period. (Bembo)
