progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Addressing 1.000 junior non-commissioned officers (NCO) who completed the 2026 Brimob Basic Education, Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri emphasized that Brimob is an elite force characterized by loyalty to the institution.

A Brimob member, said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’, possesses unwavering loyalty. Loyalty to the country, loyalty to the institution, loyalty to leadership, and loyalty to duty. This loyalty is demonstrated through discipline, readiness to carry out orders, and courage to stand on the front lines when the nation calls.

“My beloved and proud colleagues, Brimob is a corps built on dedication and sacrifice. Therefore, Brimob is here to meet challenges, not avoid them. There are several emphases you must remember and implement. First, be a police officer who is beneficial to the community. Then, your presence must provide a sense of security, provide assistance, and provide protection,” explained Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ in his instructions during a roll call in front of 547 Junior NCOs and 453 Junior Enlisted of the Brimob Corps at the Precision Field of the Polda Metro Jaya, Friday afternoon, March 13, 2026.

“Be a Brimob troop whose presence is felt to bring calm, not fear. Be a Brimob troop that is humane, yet firm,” he added.

He further advised his personnel not to hurt the public with harsh words, arrogant attitudes, or actions that offend the sense of justice. The power possessed under the uniform must be used to protect, not to harm.

He stated, that in general, Polri members must be firm. However, he always prioritized humanity and responsibility. He also emphasized that personal, physical, and mental abilities must be continuously honed to become proficient in carrying out the main duties of the Polri.

“The Brimob troops within the Polri must not be weak, must not be careless, and must not be easily complacent,” he emphasized.

“To all the Brimob NCOs and Junior
Enlisted whom i love and am proud of, i also want you to feel pride in your hearts that you are part of the Polri’s Brimob Corps. A Corps known for its toughness, courage, discipline, and loyalty,” he continued.

Concluding his remarks, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ also expressed his hope that the Brimob NCOs and Enlisted would become tough, brave, and loyal personnel, ready to serve the nation and state.

“Once you take a step, never give up. Once you perform, you must succeed. My heart and soul are for humanity, Brimob is for the nation and state,” he concluded.
