progresifjaya.co.id, CIANJUR – Cianjur Polres Traffic Unit personnel demonstrated swift and responsive action while on duty directing the return flow of traffic during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday. A toddler who suffered a severe seizure while being carried by his mother in traffic jams was successfully rescued on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
This heart-pounding and humane incident occurred at an intersection in Warungkondang District, Cianjur Regency. The rescue took place while thousands of vehicles were congesting the main route.
The Head of the Cianjur Polres Traffic Unit, AKP Aang Andi Suhandi, explained in an official statement, that the incident began when his officers were focused on directing traffic flow. Suddenly, a woman riding a motorcycle approached the officers with a look of extreme panic. In her arms was a toddler, approximately 2 to 3 years old, having a seizure.
Seeing the critical condition of the toddler and the mother’s near-desperation due to being stuck in traffic, the officers immediately took swift action. Without wasting any time, officers immediately implemented priority escort (traffic discretion) to clear the way for the motorcycle.
“Our officers acted swiftly upon seeing the emergency situation. They provided a tight escort through the dense traffic until they reached the nearest medical clinic so the toddler could receive immediate first aid,” explained AKP Aang Andi Suhandi.
Upon arrival at the clinic, the toddler was immediately evacuated to the emergency room for medical treatment. Thankfully, thanks to the officers’ swift response, which shortened travel time amidst the traffic jam, the toddler’s life was ultimately saved.
“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the alertness of our officers in the field, the toddler was able to quickly receive crucial medical treatment. This demonstrates our commitment, that the Polri are present not only to regulate the roads, but also to protect the lives of the public,” AKP Aang added.
This humanitarian and swift action by the Cianjur Polres Traffic Unit personnel also garnered much sympathy from road users who witnessed the incident. So it’s clear that behind the strict uniform of the traffic police, there remains a humane side of the Polri, always ready to help the public, no matter the situation, even the most difficult.
