Bild Media Laments Stoeger’s Missed Penalty Against Bayern Munich, Says Kevin Diks Should Have Taken It

Kevin Diks

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – German media, Bild lamented Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Kevin Stoeger’s missed penalty against Bayern Munich. According to the German media outlet, Kevin Diks should have stepped up to take the penalty in the 73rd minute. The match, played at Borussia Park, ended 0-3 in Bayern’s favor.

Bild reported that Diks had actually signaled to the coach to take the penalty. However, Stoeger was already facing the spot, but he failed to convert it.

“Diks wasn’t impressed at all with Stoeger’s attitude. He (Stoeger) simply took the shortest distance to the ball and took it,” Bild explained in its narrative.

“The Dutch-born player signaled to the bench that he wanted to take the ball. Just as he always does in Copenhagen,” Bild continued.

Bild also highlighted Diks’ two penalty goals. According to them, the Indonesian national team defender’s performance has been a routine one since his time in Copenhagen.

“Recently, in the World Cup qualifying match (Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia), he even scored two goals from the penalty spot,” Bild concluded in its criticism. (Bembo)
