progresifjaya.co.id, TANGERANG – The Polda Metro Jaya continues to strengthen its synergy with the online motorcycle taxi (ojol) community to further promote the Jaga Jakarta priority program. On Monday, December 8, 2025, this synergy was further strengthened by holding an Ojol Presidium Roll Call, an Ojol Mart handover, and a community service event at the Polres Metro Tangerang Station.

In delivering his mandate at the time, Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Kang Asep “Sniper” stated, that the presence of online motorcycle taxis significantly contributes to maintaining public safety and order on the roads. He also appreciated the Polres Metro Tangerang City active involvement of the community, particularly the ojol community in maintaining public order and security in their area.

“Our ojol partners are our strategic partners. They serve as the eyes and ears of the Polri, as they are at the center of community activities every day. The information you provide is very helpful in maintaining public order and security,” said Kapolda Kang Asep “Sniper.”

He further urged all community officials, from the neighborhood (RT), neighborhood (RW), village, and sub-district levels, to reinstate the 24-hour mandatory guest reporting rule. He believes this rule is an effective way to collectively maintain neighborhood security.

Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ also urged the public and ojol community not to hesitate to contact the police emergency service at 110 if they know of or experience an incident requiring immediate police attention. This service is available 24 hours a day and is toll-free for everyone.

After delivering his mandate, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ symbolically handed over basic food packages to representatives of ojol drivers and residents in need. He also presented the operational keys to the Ojol Mart to help empower MSMEs—from ojol drivers to ojol drivers. This donation and handover also demonstrated Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’s support for the welfare of the ojol community as a strategic partner of the Polri in maintaining public order and security.

The roll call along with the distribution of basic food packages and the handover of the Ojol Mart keys, was part of a series of commemorations for the 76th anniversary of the Polda Metro Jaya. With the theme “Steps Together to Protect the Community,” Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ emphasized that the theme reflects the Polri’s commitment to serving the public with humane principles while simultaneously enhancing public trust in police performance.
