progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya once again held the Friday of Caring program, distributing 320 basic food packages to online motorcycle taxi (Ojol) drivers and casual daily employees (PHL) in the Greater Jakarta area on Friday, December 12, 2025. This program demonstrates the police’s concern and close relationship with field workers.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated in a statement, that this activity demonstrates the commitment of the Kapolda Metro Jaya and his partners to support community welfare.
“This program is our way of demonstrating that the Polri are always there for the community. Caring is not just expressed, but demonstrated through concrete actions. We want to be present as partners who help and accompany residents in every situation,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto.
In addition to distributing the basic food packages, female police officers also provided road safety advice to the online motorcycle taxi drivers. Drivers are reminded to always obey traffic laws, maintain focus, and prioritize their own safety and that of their passengers.
Furthermore, the Polda Metro Jaya also encourages online motorcycle taxi drivers to actively report potential disturbances to public order and security through the 110 emergency service. According to Kombes Pol Bhudi, ensuring security requires collaboration from all elements of society, including drivers who operate on the roads every day.
Jajuli, a representative of online motorcycle taxi drivers, expressed his gratitude for the concern shown by the Polda Metro Jaya for their support and assistance.
“Thank you, Mr. Kapolda Metro Jaya, for your attention and assistance. We, the online motorcycle taxi drivers, are ready to work together to realize the Jaga Jakarta program and support the police’s efforts to maintain security,” Jajuli said enthusiastically. (Bembo)
