The roll call was led by Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri.

During his address, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ stated, that Jakarta’s strength as a capital city lies not only in its many towering buildings, but also in its culture of orderly and mutually protective citizens.

“Believe that its orderly, caring citizens, and their willingness to protect each other are also Jakarta’s strength. It’s not just the many tall buildings,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ in his address.

Furthermore, Kapoldq Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ also delivered five key messages in his directive. The first was to be role models of order in their respective communities.

“Obey the rules, respect others, behave yourself in public spaces, and maintain ethics in the digital space,” he said.

Next, he urged the public to reject and stop the spread of provocations, hoaxes, hate speech, and teachings of violence. The public was asked to filter information before sharing it and to verify the accuracy of data before believing it.

The fourth message was an invitation to the public to increase neighborhood awareness through neighborhood watch (Satkamling) or patrols, community security groups (Pokdar Kamtibmas), and local security networks. The public was also encouraged to take early precautions against potential brawls, conflicts, and other disturbances.
