Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspects Several Major Transportation Nodes in Jakarta Ahead of Eid

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – As Eid al-Fitr 1447 H approaches, Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri conducted a direct inspection of several major transportation nodes in Jakarta on Saturday, March 14, 2026. He wanted to ensure the readiness of personnel and the safety and comfort of the public during Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.

Starting with a visit to the Pulo Gebang Bus Terminal (Terbus) in East Jakarta at 2:30 PM WIB, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’, accompanied by the Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, and other senior officials from the Polda Metro Jaya then visited Pasar Senen Station, Gambir Station, and the Bundaran HI Post.

At the Pulogebang Bus Terminal, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ inspected the health post and conducted ramp checks on the buses.

A warm and friendly atmosphere was also evident as Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ greeted travelers in the waiting room and children’s play area. He also distributed chocolates to the children and food packages to passengers preparing to depart as a token of his concern.

At the Pulogebang Bus Terminal, according to data from Thursday, March 12, 2026, 2.898 passengers departed on 404 buses. Then, on Friday, March 13, 2026, 4.160 travelers departed. By Saturday afternoon, during the inspection, 1.307 passengers had departed.

Then, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, 1.533 passengers left Jakarta, followed by 2.994 travelers on Monday, March 16, 2026, in the early hours of the morning.

“The peak of the homecoming flow is predicted to occur on March 13, and will increase again on March 17. We have prepared 6.812 joint personnel to guard 1.647 security points,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’.

From the Pulogebang bus terminal, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ and his entourage continued their inspection at Pasar Senen Station at 4:00 PM WIB. There, he inspected the readiness of the nursing room and the station’s health facilities. He also briefly boarded the train to speak with passengers.

An hour later, the inspection continued to Gambir Station. There, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ monitored the situation from the Station Head’s monitoring room. Last Saturday, a record 17,525 passengers departed from Gambir Station on 46 trains.

At Senen and Gambir Stations, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ presented fruit parcels to officers manning the security posts. This was a token of moral support for the personnel on duty.

This marathon inspection concluded with a visit to the Bundaran HI Security Post at around 5:10 PM WIB. In addition to monitoring the flow of homecoming travelers, this inspection also examined security preparedness for the upcoming religious holidays, Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr.

“We want to ensure that all security measures for Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026 are running optimally. Our main focus is on providing humane service and ensuring travelers feel safe and comfortable during their journey,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ in his statement.

“In general, the public order and security situation at major transportation hubs in Jakarta is conducive. I also remind the public that the Polri is providing vehicle storage services at the Police Resort and Sector Police Stations for residents returning home, as well as emergency services through the 110 Call Center,” he added.

He also assured, that the Polda Metro Jaya and relevant stakeholders will continue to work optimally. Travelers will be well-served and the public order and security situation in Jakarta remains conducive. (Bembo)
