progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that the investigation into the acid attack on Deputy Coordinator of KontraS, Andrie Yunus, will be conducted using scientifically proven methods. The investigative method used is scientific crime investigation.

“The investigation will be conducted scientifically, starting with checking the victim’s condition and testimony, then gathering statements from witnesses, processing the crime scene (TKP), preparing a post-mortem examination (visum et repertum), and gathering other evidence,” explained Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, on Monday, March 16, 2026.

“And i assure you that the incident can be revealed objectively, professionally, and transparently based on facts, evidence, and valid statements,” he continued, guaranteeing.

He also stated, that the investigation of this case is being handled by a joint team from the Central Jakarta Metro Polres Criminal Investigation Unit and the Polda Metro Jaya General Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum). President Prabowo Subianto and the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, have also provided direction and instructions to ensure the investigation of this case is carried out according to regulations until it is complete.

He also stated, that all stages of the investigation will always be carried out with a principle of prudence. This approach is used to ensure that all information disseminated to the public is verified and does not give rise to speculation or misperceptions.
