Treatment of an accident victim at the Bekasi Regency Regional Hospital after being found lying on the road by the Kapolres Metro of Bekasi, Kombes Pol Sumarni.

progresifjaya.co.id, KAB. BEKASI – Kapolres Metro of Bekasi, Kombes Pol Sumarni, demonstrated humane, swift action while carrying out his duties in the integrated Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.

While leading a patrol in the area, Kombes Pol Sumarni spontaneously stopped his official vehicle convoy. This spontaneous action was taken to rescue a resident who had been the victim of a traffic accident on Monday afternoon, March 23, 2026.

The incident occurred on Jalan Sultan Hasanudin, Cibirung District, Bekasi Regency, at around 4:42 PM WIB. Kombes Pol Sumarni, who was combing the main road at the time, saw a resident lying on the asphalt after the accident. Without hesitation, he immediately got out of his vehicle to check the victim’s condition and instructed them to evacuate immediately.

The Head of the Bekasi Metro Polres Medical Center, dr Fanny Sari stated, that the police medical team (Sidokkes) accompanying the patrol immediately took emergency measures at the scene under the direct supervision of the Kapolres.

The team, consisting of dr Resmi Suci, Brigadir Imam Abridin, and TKK Windita Prastika, swiftly provided first aid before finally evacuating the victim to the Bekasi Regency Hospital.

“While leading the patrol, the Kapolres discovered a person who had fallen due to an accident. She immediately stopped and personally assessed the victim’s condition. She then ordered the Sidokkes team to immediately evacuate the victim to the Bekasi Regency Hospital for intensive care,” said dr Fanny Sari in her statement.

Based on the medical examination at the Bekasi Regency Hospital, the victim was found to have suffered several injuries, including a laceration (vulnus laceratum) on the forehead measuring 5 x 2 cm, as well as tenderness and crepitus in the left shoulder. The medical team immediately performed suturing on the forehead wound, as well as administering injections and IV therapy.

The victim is currently being treated at the Bekasi Regency Regional Hospital for further observation. Medical follow-up includes a CT scan of the head and X-rays of the shoulder and chest to ensure there are no life-threatening internal injuries. The victim’s general condition is reported to be stable and he is currently fully conscious.
