Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, officially opened the national one-way traffic engineering format for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return flow at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT), Semarang, Central Java.

progresifjaya.co.id, SEMARANG – The national one-way traffic engineering format for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return flow was officially opened by the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The opening ceremony was marked by a flag-off at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) in Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 2:25 PM WIB.

This one-way traffic engineering will be implemented from km 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate to km 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. The implementation of this format aims to ease traffic congestion, which begins to increase at the peak of the first wave of return flow.

Before waving the flag to mark the start of the one-way traffic, Kapolri Listyo Sigit took the time to approach the queue of returning vehicles. The Kapolri then chatted casually and distributed gift packages to drivers and their families.

The Kapolri personally distributed 300 snack packages and 100 children’s toy packages. The packages contained biscuits, milk, mineral water, and health supplies such as vitamins and eucalyptus oil. The Kapolri provided children with bags filled with toys to accompany them on their homecoming journey.

During the informal discussion, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also reminded travelers to prioritize safety during the return journey. He emphasized the importance of resting if their physical condition deteriorates. He also recommended utilizing the security posts and service posts provided by the Polri and all stakeholders.

Meanwhile, Kapolri Listyo Sigit assured all Polri personnel on duty along toll roads and arterial roads that they remain on standby to provide the best service and ensure a safe return flow, in line with the 2026 homecoming tagline, “Safe Homecoming, Happy Families.”

Accompanying the Kapolri at the unveiling of the national one-way traffic engineering format for the 2026 Eid homecoming flow were the main officials (PJU) of the Polri Headquarters. Among them were the Assistant Operations Officer of the Kapolri, Komjen Pol Fadil Imran, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Polri, Irjen Pol Johnny Eddizon Isir, and the Head of the Traffic Corps of the Polri, Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho, as the Head of Operation Ketupat 2026.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Red and White Cabinet were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, and Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin. Also in attendance were the Head of the Toll Road Traffic Management Agency (BPJT) Willan Oktavian, President Director of Jasa Marga Rivan Achmad Purwantono, President Director of Jasa Raharja Muhammad Awaluddin, and the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi.
