Bapera Denies Involvement of Fahd El Fouz A Rafiq in Brutal Assault Incident at Polda Metro Jaya

Deputy Chairperson for Law and Human Rights of the Nusantara Youth Front (Bapera), Henry Indraguna.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Reports of a brutal assault incident involving Fahd El Fouz A. Rafiq and dozens of other thugs against Faisal Amsco, a Langsa City resident who was attending a confrontation on the second floor of the Special Service Room for the Protection of Women and Children (RPK PPA) of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Directorate of Women and Children Protection and Human Trafficking (Ditres PPA-PPO), on Wednesday, March 26, 2026, were strongly denied by Henry Indraguna, Deputy Chairman for Legal Affairs and Human Rights for the Indonesian Youth Front (Bapera).

He stated, that the information circulating in the public sphere implicating Bapera Chairman Fahd El Fouz A. Rafiq is false and doesn’t correspond to the facts.

“In the incident in question, there was no assault, no assault, and no involvement of our General Chairman, Fahd El Fouz A. Rafiq, in any form,” Henry emphasized in a written statement on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

He also admitted he didn’t know the origins of those who instigated the disturbance at the Polda Metro Jaya area. What is clear, he continued, is that the parties he referred to as “paid thugs” had absolutely no connection to Bapera or Fahd A. Rafiq.

“To be clear, their presence at the scene was not on orders or brought by Fahd El Fouz A. Rafiq. They are suspected of being there due to other personal issues with different parties,” Henry explained.

Furthermore, in this clarification, he also denied the information that Fahd’s wife, Ranny, had an active-duty TNI aide, as reported by several sources. In fact, based on Fahd and Ranny’s accounts, during the embarrassing incident, they were the ones who received inappropriate treatment, including insults and verbal abuse from certain individuals at the scene.

Therefore, Henry continued, regarding the spread of this false information, he asked all parties, including digital accounts and individuals, to immediately provide an open clarification.

If the spread of this information is not stopped, it is possible that Bapera will take legal action, both civil and criminal.

“Truth is not determined by how widely information circulates, but by verifiable facts,” he emphasized again. (Bembo)
