In Less Than 24 Hours, the Resmob Polda Metro Jaya Arrests the Murderer of a Woman with the Initial I in North Serpong

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – It didn’t take long for the Mobile Detective (Resmob) Sub-Directorate Team Polda Metro Jaya to arrest the perpetrator of the murder of a woman with the initials I (49) in North Serpong, South Tangerang. Less than 24 hours after the murder, THA (41), who was also the victim’s ex-husband, was arrested on the same day at around 5:50 pm in the area of Jl. Jombang Raya, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang. The arrest of TH was directly commanded by the Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Resmob, AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto explained, that the incident began when the victim and the perpetrator left their house on the evening of Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The two then returned to the victim’s house around 12:30 am.

“Shortly afterward, the witness heard the victim calling for help from inside the room. However, the perpetrator managed to calm her down by saying that the victim was fine,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

However, residents soon found the victim dead, shortly after the perpetrator fled the house in the early hours of Thursday, April 16, 2026, at around 1:30 a.m.

Investigators are still investigating the motive for the murder. Suspect THA has been detained along with several pieces of evidence, including the victim’s and the perpetrator’s clothing, a Honda PCX motorcycle, two cell phones, cash from the sale of the victim’s jewelry, and CCTV footage supporting the alleged crime.

For his actions, the suspect has been charged under Article 459 and/or Article 458 paragraph (2) and/or Article 479 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder, subsidiary murder, and/or theft with violence.

Meanwhile, regarding this example of a murder, Kombes Pol Bhudi reiterated his tireless appeal to the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any potential disturbances to public order and security.

“We urge the public to immediately report any criminal activity they witness or experience through the police hotline 110. Public participation is crucial to maintaining a safe and conducive public order and security situation,” he said.
