progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Three perpetrators of pornography crimes connected to online gambling (judol) via a live streaming app have been arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya Mobile Detective (Resmob) Sub-Directorate Criminal Investigations Directorate. The three perpetrators, M and his girlfriend, identified as H, were arrested at a boarding house in West Jakarta. EL was also arrested at an apartment in South Tangerang.

In their actions, the three perpetrators posed as talents or hosts performing pornographic acts on the Hot51 live streaming app. They also promoted gambling content during their live streams.

“The suspects are known to have acted as talents or hosts performing pornographic acts to promote online gambling content through the platform,” reads a statement on Instagram account @resmob_pmj seen on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The three perpetrators were excited about their criminal activity because they were able to earn profits of up to Rp25 million in five days. Meanwhile, the app’s turnover reached Rp5 billion per month.

“The profits generated were also fantastic, with the app’s turnover reaching Rp5 billion per month. Meanwhile, the talents were able to earn up to Rp25 million in just five days,” the statement continued.

In their operation, the perpetrators manipulated users’ psychological states. They combined paid adult content with a gambling system to create an addiction.

Users were encouraged to continue making deposits, whether they won or lost, resulting in significant losses.

“This manipulative scheme exploited users’ psychological states by exploiting the gambling cycle to drain their assets through paid adult content and a re-deposit system. Whether they won or lost, users were deliberately trapped in an addictive ecosystem specifically designed to keep them topping up their balances until their entire assets were depleted,” the Instagram statement continued.

During the arrest, the Resmob Sub-Directorate also confiscated lingerie, adult toys (vibrators, dildos, and live machine guns), several cell phones, and several bank accounts.

 To be held accountable for their actions, the three perpetrators were charged under Article 407 of the Indonesian Criminal Code and/or Article 426 of Law No. 1 of 2023, as well as Article 27 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (3) of the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law No. 1 of 2024, concerning crimes against decency, online gambling, and money laundering. They face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
