Sub-Directorate IV of the Ditreskrimsus of the Polda Metro Jaya Utilizes the Labor Desk for Mediation in Case Resolution

Sub-Directorate IV of the Ditreskrimsus of the Polda Metro Jaya utilizes the Manpower Desk to mediate dispute resolutions between workers and employers.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Labor Desk is one of the options the Polda Metro Jaya has used to strengthen its public services. This option serves as a responsive platform to facilitate employment issues.
Recently, Sub-Directorate IV of the Special Crimes Division (Ditreskrimsus) of the Polda Metro Jaya utilized this option to facilitate mediation in a case of alleged labor-related crime. This case brought together the complainant, identified as SRB, and the employer, the defendant. Both parties were also represented by their respective legal counsel.
The Head of Sub-Directorate IV of the Ditreskrimsus of the Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Anton Hermawan explained in his statement, that the mediation was held as an effort to resolve the case while prioritizing the fulfillment of workers’ rights.
“Mediation was conducted as part of an effort to resolve the case while still adhering to workers’ rights and applicable legal provisions,” said AKBP Anton in his statement on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
This case began with SRB’s admission that he had worked for a private company from March 2024 to July 2025. In July 2025, SRB received a notice of termination of employment. However, he claimed to have only received a deduction from his final salary and had not yet received severance pay or compensation for his entitlements.
Based on the clarification, SRB also claimed to have suffered material losses due to the unfulfilled rights of several workers. During the process, the South Jakarta Manpower Office recommended that the company pay SRB the workers’ entitlements in accordance with regulations.
The workers’ entitlements in question include the difference in wages, severance pay, and compensation for leave entitlements.
AKBP Anton stated, that the mediation ultimately resulted in an amicable agreement. The defendant agreed to pay the workers’ entitlements as recommended by the South Jakarta Manpower Office, and the payment was made during the settlement agreement.
“The reporter has also prepared and signed a letter withdrawing the police report after his rights were restored,” explained AKBP Anton.
The Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Anton continued, also urged workers and employers to continue to prioritize communication, good faith, and applicable legal mechanisms in resolving employment issues.
“The Polda Metro Jaya’s Manpower Desk will always be an open service space to help the public find proportional and just solutions. That is our commitment,” AKBP Anton added.
