A joint patrol by the Polda Metro Jaya Brimob and the Polres Metro of East Jakarta 3P team apprehended several unruly youths who were attempting to engage in a brawl in Ciracas, East Jakarta.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A joint patrol from the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya and the Precision Pioneer Patrol (3P) team from the Polres Metro of East Jakarta arrested several unruly youths along with evidence from an alleged brawl in the Tanah Merdeka area of ​​Jalan Tanah Merdeka, Ciracas, East Jakarta. The unruly youths were then taken to the Polsek of Ciracas for further questioning.

The joint patrol kicked off after attending a readiness roll call led by the Kapolres Metro of East Jakarta, Kombes Pol Alfian Nurrizal, early Tuesday morning, May 26, 2026. The team began searching several vulnerable locations, such as Jalan Cipinang Jaya Raya, Jalan Jengki Makasar, the Pasar Rebo flyover, and the Pasar Rebo area. Upon arriving in Ciracas, several unruly youths were apprehended for attempting to brawl.

The Head of the Brimob Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto stated in a statement, that the presence of personnel in the field was intended to provide a sense of security. The patrols also focused on anticipating brawls, illegal street racing, the distribution of illegal drugs and alcohol, and street crimes that disturb the public.

He stated, that this joint patrol was a preventative measure to suppress potential security disturbances while ensuring the situation remains conducive. The National Police also urged the public to report any potential disturbances to public order through the Polri emergency service 110.

“This joint patrol is a form of state presence among the community. We want to ensure that the public feels safe and comfortable, especially during critical times. Every public report will be followed up quickly and measurably,” said Kombes Pol Henik in his statement.
