progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, extended his greetings for Eid al-Adha 1447 H to the community within the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction.

“On behalf of the Polda Metro Jaya family, i wish you a Happy Eid al-Adha 1447 H. May the spirit of sacrifice, sincerity, and social concern strengthen our brotherhood and togetherness in keeping Jakarta safe, comfortable, and conducive,” said the Kapolda in an official statement released by the Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Sector.

Meanwhile, to prepare for the series of Eid al-Adha 1447 H celebrations, the Polda Metro Jaya have prepared total security measures, starting from the night of takbir (recitation of the Quran), the Eid al-Adha prayer, to the slaughter and distribution of sacrificial animals.

Specifically for Eid al-Adha prayers at the Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the Polda Metro Jaya has deployed 350 joint personnel. The personnel on standby consist of personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro of Central Jakarta, the Satpol PP, and the Department of Transportation (Dishub).

Security at the Istiqlal Mosque has also been carefully planned. Traffic management, security of the mosque area, arrival and departure routes for worshippers, and site sterilization have been thoroughly planned. These measures are being taken to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of Eid al-Adha prayers.

In addition to Istiqlal, police officers are also securing several Eid al-Adha prayer locations and large-scale sacrificial animal slaughterhouses. Community police officers (Bhabinkamtibmas) are also coordinating with the committee to ensure the orderly distribution of sacrificial meat.

The Polda Metro Jaya are also increasing patrols in abandoned residential areas, traffic-prone routes, crowded areas, and tourist attractions during the long holiday.  Personnel were also asked to prioritize humane, professional, and proportional service.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated in a statement, that security for Eid al-Adha was being optimally implemented to ensure that the public could perform their religious duties safely and comfortably.

“The Polda Metro Jaya have prepared comprehensive security measures, from the night of takbir (the night prayer), the Eid al-Adha prayer, to the slaughtering and distribution of sacrificial animals. We want to ensure that the entire process runs safely, orderly, and conducively,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

He also stated, that all personnel on standby have been instructed to prioritize humane service while carrying out their duties in the field. He also urged the public to remain orderly, respect each other, and follow the directions of officers in the field.

“Everything is aimed at maintaining a conducive atmosphere and ensuring that religious services run safely and smoothly,” he added.
