Three young men carrying machetes, intending to engage in a brawl, were apprehended by the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) patrol of the Polda Metro Jaya in Sriamur, North Tambun, Bekasi Regency.

In addition to the sickles, the youths cell phones and motorcycles used during the gathering were also confiscated.

The Head of the Polda Metro Jaya Brimob Unit, Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto explained in a statement, that the group of young men troublemaker intending to engage in a brawl was discovered by the patrol team while combing a location prone to public order disturbances.

In addition to apprehending the three young men troublemaker carrying sickles, the patrol team also intercepted a young man suspected of being under the influence of drugs while riding a motorcycle. During questioning, several drugs were found on the youths.

“We confiscated all of them and handed them over to the Polsek of North Tambun for further processing in accordance with applicable regulations,” said Kombes Pol Henik.

He also advised the public, especially parents, to increase supervision of their children at night. This aims to prevent children from engaging in behavior that could harm others.

“If they encounter potential security disturbances, the public should immediately contact the police hotline 110, which is on standby 24 hours to receive reports and complaints,” he concluded.
