Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, along with DPR RI officials, received a visit from Sekar Telkom, Danantara, and Telkom’s board of directors.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, along with members of the DPR RI, guaranteed that they would oversee the tripartite agreement between the Indonesian Telkom Employees Union (Sekar Telkom), Danantara, and Telkom’s board of directors. This step was taken as an effort to prevent employee layoffs during Telkom’s downsizing.

This assurance was delivered after the DPR RI received a visit from Sekar Telkom to hear their concerns and seek solutions while still respecting workers’ rights amidst the company’s transformation process.

Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the DPR RI, Andre Rosiade, who accompanied Sufmi Dasco, said in a written statement received in Jakarta on Friday, July 24, 2026, that the DPR RI was taking this step to ensure that Sekar Telkom’s complaints could be resolved through dialogue between the parties.

“We were asked by the DPR leader, Mr. Dufmi Dasco, to resolve the complaints from our colleagues at Sekar Telkom. Alhamdulillah, after several weeks of discussion, we have been able to resolve all issues together,” said Andre.

In a meeting between employees, Danantara, and Telkom’s board of directors at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Thursday, July 23, 2026, the three parties agreed on several key points. One of these was that the streamlining process of the Telkom Group would not result in layoffs.

The DPR RI also sought to ensure that the Telkom Group’s streamlining policy would continue to provide certainty for workers while supporting the company’s transformation toward a strategic digital holding company.

Furthermore, all employees, regardless of their assignment, would remain Telkom Group employees and receive the same incentives and benefits.

Some employees would also be placed in a new business unit called Telkom Enterprise, with a guarantee of no layoffs, even if the unit did not develop as planned.

Furthermore, it was agreed that the rights of employees at subsidiaries that are no longer operating, including PT PINS Indonesia, would continue to be protected through salary continuity guarantees from Telkom and Danantara.

The Chairman of Sekar Telkom, Nasri, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the DPR RI and Commission VI for facilitating this dialogue.

He stated, that certainty regarding the status of state-owned enterprise (BUMN) employees is a key aspiration that Telkom workers and its subsidiaries, including PINS, have been striving for.

“Essentially, we as employees want certainty regarding our status as BUMN employees. Thank God, today we have found several solutions, and going forward, the implementation stages will be discussed further in stages with BUMN and Danantara,” said Nasri.

He also expressed his appreciation to Sufmi Dasco and the leaders of Commission VI, Anggia Ermarini and Andre Rosiade, for their commitment to overseeing each stage of the agreement’s implementation until completion.
