progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Contrary to the statement by the Director of Drug Crimes (Dirtipnarkoba) of the Polri Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) regarding the arrest of the Polres of South Tangerang (Tangsel) Narcotics Unit Commander, AKP Pardiman, and six of his officers on suspicion of drug trafficking, the Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Chief, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto issued a denial. He emphasized, that the Polres of Tangsel Narcotics Unit Commander, AKP Pardiman and five of his officers were not involved in any Etomidate trafficking case.

He stated, that the Polri’s Narcotics Crime Directorate conducted an investigation and detained two suspects, identified as MR and DD, for possession and distribution of 200 etomidate tablets.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Polres of Tangsel Narcotics Unit Commander and five of his officers, Kombes Pol Bhudi reiterated, were not involved in any narcotics case, as has been reported in some media outlets. Those detained were the Head of the Narcotics Unit at the Polres of Tangsel and one officer from the Polda of Aceh.

“So, the Head of the Narcotics Unit Commander and five other officers are not involved in the two individuals detained by the Narcotics Crime Directorate for possession of 200 etomidate cartridges,” he told the media on Monday, July 27, 2026.

“The Polda Metro Jaya Chief is also very firm and has a strong commitment regarding the involvement of Polda Metro Jaya personnel, whether as users or distributors,” he added.

According to Kombes Pol Bhudi, the Polres of South Tangerang Narcotics Unit Commander is solely responsible as a leader regarding the alleged involvement of his officers in narcotics cases. He is currently under investigation by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Propam Sector

“But because the person in question is a Head of the Unit Commander, the supervision and control of his subordinates will be investigated by the Bid Propam) of the Polda Metro Jaya,” he explained.

“Currently, an investigation is underway as a follow-up to his responsibilities as a Head of Unit Commander. Whether the person in question was aware that his members were committing narcotics violations is being investigated. That is what is being investigated. We will transparently convey the results to our colleagues,” he continued.

As is known, news circulated earlier that the Narcotics Crime Directorate of the Polres Criminal Investigation Agency arrested the Head of the Polres of Tangsel South Narcotics Unit Commander along with seven other officers in connection with alleged narcotics trafficking, narcotics abuse, and abuse of authority in drug law enforcement (gakkum).
