progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Dewa United FC officially has a new tactician. Brazilian coach Osmar Loss has been officially appointed as the new head coach for the 2026/2027 season. This move was taken by Dewa United to strengthen the squad and maintain competitiveness in upcoming competitions.

Osmar Loss has a long track record of coaching at the international level. Before joining Banten, the Passo Fundo-born coach coached Thai giants Buriram United, successfully winning the quadruple.

He also achieved success by leading Persepolis FC to the Iranian League title. When introduced at the Dewa United Arena, Tangerang, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, Osmar expressed his appreciation for the facilities and the management’s commitment.

“Dewa United’s facilities and vision are very clear. The welcome from the players and staff has also been very positive. This convinces me that joining here was the right decision,” said Osmar.

He also emphasized that he would not completely overhaul the team’s established playing identity. He was solely focused on strengthening the team’s foundation and instilling a winning mentality.

“Dewa United already has an identity. I’m here to strengthen it, building a team with commitment and a strong fighting spirit to make the fans proud,” he said.

Facing high expectations from supporters following the club’s improved performance in recent seasons, the CONMEBOL Pro-licensed coach stated that he was ready to meet the challenge. He also invited supporters to show their support in person at the stadium throughout the season.
