progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Dewa United FC tactician Osmar Loss is a firm believer in and favors the 3-5-2 formation when leading his team. He also used it when leading Buriram United to four titles in the 2024/2025 season in Thailand. He will likely employ this formation to manage Dewa United FC in the 2026/2027 Super League season.

With the characteristics of the 3-5-2 formation, Osmar Loss is expected to field three strong defenders: Nick Kuipers, Ko Myeong-seok, and Johnathan (Johnathan Carlos Pereira).

Nick Kuipers is a formidable defender from the Netherlands, wearing the number 2 shirt and standing at 1.93 meters tall. He is known as a key pillar of the back line, having been brought over from Persib Bandung.

Then there’s Ko Myeong-seok.  The new center-back from South Korea wears the number 22 jersey. The former Buriram United player reunites with coach Osmar Loss to strengthen the Banten Warriors’ defense.

Finally, there’s Johnathan. The Brazilian defender, who wears the number 4 jersey, boasts strong experience and versatility in both the right and central areas of defense.

These three defenders will line up in the back line to strengthen the defense and initiate attack build-ups.

Then, consider the active wing-back role, allowing him to advance to assist in attacks or quickly drop back to cover open spaces when attacked. At the right wing-back position, Osmar will likely deploy new winger Carlos Iury. This new player could be an option due to his excellent crossing accuracy, making him a potential supplier for Dewa United FC’s attackers.

At the left wing-back position, Edo Febriansyah is likely to remain the main choice. The Indonesian national team player is known for his speed, aggression, and accurate crosses from the flank.

The three midfielders will likely continue to dominate the midfield, with Alexis Messidoro, Ricky Kambuaya, and Ivar Jenner.  Alexis Messidoro will play the role of playmaker, while Ricky Kambuaya and Ivar Jenner will anchor the midfield or balance the team’s midfield. These three central midfielders will also play a role in controlling the tempo of the game, distributing the ball, and pressing the opponent from central areas.

Meanwhile, for the two attacking players in the front line, Denilson Junior, recently signed from Ratchaburi FC, is predicted to be the main choice. His partner will likely be Eggy Maulana Vikri, with Rafael Struick as an option for depth.

Eggy can play as a winger or second striker. He has proven himself as one of Dewa United’s most productive players and a key pillar of the front line since joining on January 30, 2023, after completing his contract from Slovakian club FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce.

As for the goalkeeper position, Dutch goalkeeper Sonny Steven will likely remain the first choice between the sticks. Meanwhile, young Indonesian national team goalkeeper Muhammad Riyandi will provide a solid and high-quality backup for the Banten Warriors.
