Coordination meeting between the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI).

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) in collaboration with the Indonesian Fintech Joint Funding Association (AFPI) will hold a Journalism Workshop entitled “Pindar for Financial Inclusion, Journalism for Public Protection.”

The workshop will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM WIB at the Aryaduta Hotel (Tugu Tani), Jalan Prajurit KKO Usman Harun, Central Jakarta.

This event is expected to provide a platform for journalists to deepen their understanding of the digital financing industry (Pindar), its role in promoting national financial inclusion, while also strengthening the capacity of journalists to present accurate information.

The Secretary General of the PWI, Marthen Selamet Susanto stated, that the development of the digital financial industry currently requires journalists to continuously improve their capacity and understanding to present information that is accurate, balanced, and easily understood by the public.

“Through this workshop, we hope journalists can gain a deeper understanding of financial literacy and inclusion. This way, the resulting reporting can provide education and protection to the public amidst the rapid development of digital financial services,” said Marthen.

He also stated, that the media holds a strategic position in building public trust in the digital financial ecosystem. Therefore, improving journalists’ competency in understanding financial issues is also an important step in preventing the spread of misinformation and increasing public literacy.

This collaboration between the PWI and the AFPI is expected to strengthen the synergy between the press and the digital funding industry in supporting the creation of an inclusive, healthy, transparent, and sustainable financial ecosystem.

Ultimately, quality journalism is also expected to be at the forefront of providing education, building public trust, and protecting the public from various misleading information in the field of financial literacy.
