
Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, presides over the inauguration of two interim replacement members (PAW) of the DPR RI for the 2024–2029 term.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) has received the Presidential Decree regarding the official appointment of Nessy Kalviya and Mesakh Mirin as interim replacement members (PAW) for the 2024–2029 term. Both were officially sworn in today, Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
The inauguration took place during the second plenary session of the House for Session Period I of the 2026–2027 parliamentary year at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta. The meeting was attended by 316 House members.
Deputy Speaker of the House, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad explained, that Nessy replaces Tamanuri—an elected House member from the NasDem Faction who passed away—while Mesakh replaces Paulus Ubruangge—a House member from the PAN Faction who was elected as the Deputy Regent of Nduga.
“Presidential Decrees of the Republic of Indonesia Number 70 dated June 22, 2026, and Number 71 dated July 2, 2026, regarding the official interim appointment of members of the House of Representatives and members of the People’s Consultative Assembly for the remainder of the 2024–2029 term,” stated Sufmi Dasco.
“Ms. Nessy Kalviya, from the NasDem Party Faction, representing the Lampung II electoral district, replaces the late Mr. Tamanuri. Mr. Mesakh Mirin, from the National Mandate Party (PAN) Faction, representing the Highland Papua electoral district, replaces Mr. Paulus Ubruangge,” he continued.
The House held the swearing-in ceremony for Nessy and Mesakh before proceeding with the plenary session agenda. Both individuals recited their oaths of office, led by Sufmi Dasco. “I swear by God that i will fulfill my obligations as a member of the House of Representatives to the best of my ability and with the utmost fairness, in accordance with the laws and regulations, and guided by Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. That in carrying out my duties, i will work earnestly to uphold democratic life and prioritize the interests of the nation and the state over personal, individual, or group interests. That i will champion the aspirations of the people i represent to realize national goals, for the sake of the nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” stated Sufmi Dasco, followed by Nessy and Mesakh.
