“This program originates from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo, and focuses on providing habitable housing. It also represents the Kapolri’s commitment to being present among the people and bringing about improvements for the community,” said Komjen Pol Asep Edi.

The 35 renovated, move-in-ready homes are distributed across 12 police jurisdictions (Polres) under the Polda Metro Jaya. Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto added. He said, that the Independence Home Renovation Program conveys the message that the commemoration of independence should not be limited to mere ceremonies; rather, it should be realized through tangible benefits experienced directly by the community.

“Independence must be a tangible part of people’s lives. A decent home is more than just a structure; it is a space where a family can live safely and comfortably, raise their children, and build a better future,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

According to him, this program also reflects the Polri’s dedication—demonstrating that their role extends beyond maintaining security and order to actively caring for the community’s social needs.

“The Polri are present not only when the public needs a sense of security, but also through acts of care that deliver real benefits. We continue to uphold this spirit in serving and dedicating ourselves to the community. The Polri stand as guardians of life, builders of civilization, and champions of humanity,” he further explained. (Bembo)
