progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized, that Garda Satya NKRI plays a vital role as a partner to the National Police in maintaining public security and order (kamtibmas), as well as in fostering unity and upholding the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

Consequently, with this foundation, Garda Satya NKRI is expected to participate in nurturing unity, ensuring security, and safeguarding the integrity of the nation and state.

The Kapolri made this statement while attending the 81st Indonesian Independence Day thanksgiving and a gathering with Garda Satya NKRI on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The event was held under the theme “Building Indonesia Together with the Community.”

Garda Satya NKRI is an organization comprising former members and sympathizers of Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) who have reaffirmed their commitment to friendship and pledged their loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The group has also committed to playing a positive role on the front lines of maintaining public order and safeguarding the integrity of the NKRI under the coordination of the Polri.

The Kapolri described the decision by Garda Satya NKRI members to reaffirm their commitment to the NKRI as a noble and courageous step, grounded in a spirit of nationalism. He added that the state always provides space, trust, and opportunities for every citizen to move forward.

He further noted, that the spirit, militancy, discipline, courage, and solidarity possessed by Garda Satya NKRI could be channeled into a positive force for the nation.

“The decision to serve as part of Garda Satya NKRI is a call of conscience to stand as a vanguard that remains forever loyal to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” the Kapolri stated.

With this foundation, he continued, Garda Satya NKRI is expected to play a part in nurturing unity, maintaining security, and upholding the integrity of the nation and state.  It was also emphasized that the role of Garda Satya NKRI extends beyond a commitment to the nation. The organization is expected to remain an active partner of the Polri and the government in maintaining public order and security, strengthening community resilience, and supporting national development.

Whenever the nation faces situations requiring contributions from various societal elements, Garda Satya NKRI is expected to stand ready alongside the Polri and all components of the nation.

“This includes times when the nation and state face situations requiring your involvement. I hope Garda Satya NKRI stands ready alongside the National Police and all components of the nation as part of the vanguard protecting the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI),” the Kapolri explained.

Beyond maintaining security, members of Garda Satya NKRI are encouraged to play productive roles suited to their individual capabilities—ranging from strengthening family economies, food security, and entrepreneurship to engaging in social and community activities.

According to the Kapolri, a nation’s resilience is determined not only by its ability to confront threats but also by community self-reliance, economic strength, and steadfast unity and cohesion.

He added, that the Polri is committed to maintaining solidarity and supporting the extended family of Garda Satya NKRI in every positive step forward.

The trust and brotherhood that have been established must be nurtured and strengthened. The relationship between the Polri and Garda Satya NKRI is not merely fleeting; it has evolved into a long-term bond of brotherhood dedicated to serving the community, the nation, and the state.

“To me, the brotherhood we have built is not just for the moment. It has become saduluran saklawase—an enduring bond we uphold as we serve the community, the nation, and the state,” he asserted.
