progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo has instructed his subordinates to follow up on the achievements of the 2026 Kompolnas Awards recipients by granting rewards that support their career development and the execution of their duties.
He issued this directive during the 2026 Kompolnas Awards ceremony on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The awards recognize Polri units and personnel who have demonstrated outstanding performance and made tangible contributions in carrying out their duties and serving the public.
The Kapolri emphasized, that the awards should not merely be ceremonial events. The achievements demonstrated must receive attention and follow-up from the institution so that recipients can both maintain and improve upon their accomplishments.
“These awards certainly should not stop at the ceremony. The achievements demonstrated need to receive attention and follow-up from the institution as a form of appreciation and encouragement to maintain and enhance the achievements already attained,” the Kapolri said.
Furthermore, he ordered the Assistant to the Kapolri for Human Resources and the Assistant to the Kapolri for Logistics to immediately discuss the types of rewards that could be granted to the 2026 Kompolnas Awards recipients.
For high-achieving personnel, rewards could take the form of career development—such as education or appropriate job assignments. Meanwhile, high-achieving regional units could be considered for budgetary and equipment support based on their needs.
“For high-achieving personnel, career development through education or appropriate job assignments should be considered,” the Kapolri advised.
The 2026 Kompolnas Awards process involved several stages, ranging from initial assessment, nominee selection, and in-depth review and site visits, to the final evaluation by the panel of judges. This series of steps was conducted to ensure an objective and evidence-based assessment process. In this year’s event, awards were presented not only to Polri Headquarters units and regional commands but also to individual personnel who demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation, integrity, leadership, and tangible contributions.
The assessment of personnel incorporated the 5P framework, People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership. Award categories also included Peacekeepers, personnel from Conflict Zone Operation Task Forces, and members of the Polri’s Densus 88 Counter-terrorism unit.
The Kapolri expressed hope, that the innovations and best practices behind these achievements would be documented, further developed, and adaptively implemented by other units, tailored to the specific characteristics and needs of each region.
“Award recipients are expected to serve as role models for regional units and other police personnel by sharing the experiences, innovations, and best practices they have implemented,” the Kapolri stated.
Meanwhile, for units and personnel who did not receive awards, the Chief urged them to view this occasion as an opportunity for evaluation and motivation to continuously enhance their professionalism, the quality of their duty performance, and their integrity.
According to the Kapolri, the success of the Polri is ultimately measured not merely by awards or achievements, but by the institution’s ability to provide a sense of security, certainty, and improved service, while maintaining public trust. Bravo. (Bembo)
