progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polsek Palmerah under the Polres Metro of West Jakarta have uncovered an alleged narcotics distribution operation involving crystal methamphetamine and marijuana in the area of ​​Jalan Kemanggisan Ilir VI, Kemanggisan Village, Palmerah District, West Jakarta.

The operation took place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). A man, identified by the initials H, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the narcotics case.

Several pieces of evidence—including packages of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and a mobile phone—were seized for the purpose of the investigation.

Kapolsek Palmerah, AKP Parman BM Nainggolan stated, that the case came to light following information from the public, who had grown suspicious of the activities of several individuals at the location.

“Information from the public is crucial for the police in uncovering alleged criminal offenses. Upon receiving the report, our officers immediately conducted checks and investigations at the scene, where they discovered items suspected to be narcotics,” said AKP Parman BM Nainggolan on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

An operational team led by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Dede Sobari, along with Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda MT Simbolon, questioned a man at the scene.

During the search, officers discovered several packages suspected to contain crystal methamphetamine in the man’s trouser pockets.

Officers then inspected a green sling bag he was carrying, where they found additional evidence suspected to be crystal methamphetamine and marijuana.

Following this, the officers expanded their investigation to a house, acting on information that more suspected crystal methamphetamine was being stored there.

During this follow-up search, officers discovered another package suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, weighing 9,32 grams. In total, the evidence secured includes several packages suspected to contain crystal methamphetamine, four packages of marijuana weighing approximately 46 grams, two marijuana joints weighing about 1,2 grams, rolling papers, and one Infinix-brand mobile phone.

Kapolsek Parman Nainggolan emphasized, that his department will continue to take action against the suspected abuse and distribution of narcotics within its jurisdiction.

“We urge the public to work together in protecting our community from the threat of narcotics. If you become aware of any suspicious activity or suspected drug distribution, please report it to the police immediately so that it can be addressed in accordance with the law,” he asserted.

As for the individual identified by the initials H, who was apprehended in connection with this case, he is charged under Article 114, paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, and/or Article 609, paragraph (1), letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP), in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning the Adjustment of Criminal Penalties, as stated in the police report.
