progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Throughout the first quarter of 2026, the Polda Metro Jaya Investigation Narcotics Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) handled 1.833 drug cases. Of these thousands of cases, 721,01 kg of various narcotics were seized as evidence.

The Director of the Polda Metro Jaya Investigation Narcotics, Kombes Pol Ahmad David stated in an official statement during a press conference on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, that of the 1.833 cases handled, 2.485 people had been arrested. These included 2.283 men, 202 women, 14 foreign nationals, and seven minors. The arrested perpetrators played various roles, ranging from producers and distributors to users.

“Nine individuals played their respective roles as producers, 972 as distributors, and 1.504 suspects as users, addicts, or victims of the crime. These drug users have undergone medical and social rehabilitation through restorative justice,” said Kombes Pol Ahmad David.

Of the 712,01 kg of evidence, 115,84 kg was methamphetamine. 275,92 kg of marijuana, 26.593 ecstasy pills, 873.950 dangerous drugs, and 11.000 vape cartridges containing etomidate. Were also seized 19,69 kilograms of ecstasy powder, 7,63 kilograms of synthetic tobacco, 4,5 kilograms of synthetic seed powder, 5.070 happy five pills, 16,2 kilograms of ketamine, 96 packets of heavy water, and 1,02 kg of cocaine were also seized.

“If we convert all the evidence we confiscated into its black market value, the Polda and the Polres the ranks have confiscated Rp280 billion. This means you have saved the lives of 5.173.407 residents of Jakarta and the surrounding areas from the dangers of drug trafficking and abuse,” he explained further. (Bembo)
