progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Five sellers of illegal drugs, or List G drugs, in the Sawah Besar area, Central Jakarta, were unlucky enough to be busted by the Sawah Besar Polres Criminal Investigation Unit. A total of 31.997 List G drugs were confiscated in the raid.

Kapolres Metro of Central Jakarta, Kombes Pol Reynold Hutagalung stated in a statement, that the raid stemmed from information from residents regarding the rampant distribution of prescription drugs. After further investigation, the information ultimately led to the arrest of the five perpetrators.

The first raid, led by the Head of the Sawah Besar Polres Criminal Investigation Unit, Iptu M Asaugi, and the Criminal Investigation Unit II team, was conducted in the Karang Anyar and Kartini areas on Thursday evening, April 16, 2026.

In this area, three perpetrators, identified as W, S, and M, were unlucky enough to be busted. Thousands of Schedule G drugs, such as Tramadol, Hexymer, Alprazolam, and Trihexyphenidyl, were confiscated as evidence.

“From the interrogation, we then conducted a search at a boarding house on Jalan Petak X on Friday, April 17, 2026. We arrested two more perpetrators, identified as I and A, along with additional evidence in the form of hundreds of Tramadol tablets and the proceeds,” said Kombes Pol Reynold on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Evidence of prohibited drugs, list G, which was successfully confiscated from five sellers who were caught in the raid.

He also emphasized, that his team will continue to eradicate the distribution of illegal drugs that have the potential to harm the younger generation.

“We will not give any room for those who distribute illegal drugs. This is our commitment to maintaining public safety and health,” he reiterated.

Kapolsek of the Sawah Besar, Kompol Rahmat Himawan added, that the disclosure and raid were based on two police reports. explained that the total evidence seized in this raid amounted to 31.997 Schedule G hard drugs.

“The amount of evidence from these two raids is quite substantial, namely 31.997 Schedule G hard drugs. We strongly suspect that thousands of these illegal drugs were destined for illegal distribution in Central Jakarta,” said Kompol Rahmat Himawan.

The five perpetrators are currently behind bars at the Sawah Besar Police Station. They are charged under Article 435 of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.
