progresifjaya.co.id, BANDUNG – The Polda of West Java  have named six perpetrators of the riot during the 2026 May Day commemoration on Jalan Tamansari, Bandung City, as suspects. All of the perpetrators are students.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda of West Java, Kombes Pol Hendra Rochmawan stated in a statement, that seven suspected perpetrators were initially detained. However, after a series of investigations, only six student perpetrators were named as suspects.

“The six student perpetrators named as suspects have the initials MRN, MRA, RS, MFNA, FAP, and HIS,” said Kombes Pol Hendra on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Dangerous evidence of the riot was also confiscated from the six perpetrators. These included two Molotov cocktails, gasoline, and group paraphernalia such as a flag bearing the words ‘Punk Football Hate Cops’ and a ‘Fire Cells Conspiracy Network’ sticker.

“We have identified the roles of each suspect. Some prepared the Molotov cocktails, others threw them, and some were the provocateurs,” explained Kombes Pol Hendra.

Investigators from the Polda of West Java Mobile Detective (Resmob) are currently investigating and searching for other perpetrators involved in the riot. The violence resulted in serious damage to several public facilities in Bandung, including the burning of a videotron, a Gatur Police Post, and damage to a traffic light.

“Currently, the Resmob team from the Polda of West Java Criminal Investigation Directorate is still investigating and pursuing other perpetrators through CCTV analysis and data extraction from their cellphones,” he explained.
