Maintaining Smooth Traffic Flow During Persib Bandung’s Championship-Deciding Match, the Polda of West Java Deploys 3.000 Personnel and a Tim Urai

Maung Bandung is now on the verge of becoming the first Indonesian club to achieve a hat-trick of consecutive championships. They can make that history with only a draw. This glittering projection is certainly eagerly awaited by Persib supporters. They will flock to GBLA to fully support their favorite team.
In response, the Polda of West Java have prepared security and a tim urai at several Bobotoh celebration points in Bandung during the decisive match. This measure is being taken to ensure smooth traffic flow in Bandung.
The Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) for the Polda of West Java, Kombes Pol Raydian Kokrosono stated in a statement, that the decisive match is expected to be watched by more than 30.000 spectators. To prevent any untoward incidents, thousands of personnel are currently on standby to secure the match until the end and the victory celebrations.
“We have 3.000 personnel on standby. The Polrestabesvare also fully deployed on the orders of the Mr. Kapolda,” explained Kombes Pol Raydian at the Polda of West Java Headquarters on Friday, May 22, 2026.
He explained, that the police have mapped out the usual hotspots for Bobotoh celebrations in Bandung. Several locations predicted to be crowded include the Dago area, Sulanjana, Graha Persib, the Pasupati flyover, and Jalan Asia Afrika.
To this end, Polda of West Java Traffic Directorate personnel will implement traffic engineering schemes in the field. Four-wheeled vehicles will be diverted to other lanes to avoid getting stuck during Persib’s victory celebrations.
“Traffic management measures prior to the Bobotoh celebration at the location will divert traffic, especially four-wheeled vehicles. Only two-wheeled vehicles, especially Bobotoh vehicles, will be allowed into the area,” said Kombes Pol Raydian.
In addition to securing traffic flow, Kombes Pol Raydian also asked Bobotoh to give priority to emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks. This is to ensure emergency services to the public are not disrupted during the celebrations.
As a precautionary measure, the Polda of West Java Traffic Directorate has also deployed Tim Urai at several locations. These teams will serve as reinforcements to maintain security, safety, order, and smooth traffic flow.
“We will continue to anticipate this, and we have already deployed Tim Urai for several previous matches. Tomorrow, we will be increasing our presence to maintain traffic safety and security at these celebration locations,” he explained.
He also appealed to people vacationing in Bandung to avoid certain celebration areas to reduce traffic congestion. And in their duties tomorrow, the police will also be assisted by approximately 1.000 members of the Bobotoh Task Force to maintain smooth traffic flow. Sing meunang, nya!
