progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya Mobile Detective (Resmob) Sub-Directorate of the General Crimes Directorate has arrested the perpetrator of the assault on a Brunei Darussalam citizen, identified as MHF (30), resulting in his death. The perpetrator of the assault, also identified as MIA (33), is also a Bruneian Darussalam citizen.

The perpetrator, MIA, was arrested early Monday morning, May 25, 2026, in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. Police identified the perpetrator as an Instagram celebrity named Woodyrman, also known as Mohammad Irman Ali.

“That’s right (the celebrity Woodyrman). The suspect has been transported to the Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation,” said the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Resmob Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya’s General Crimes Directorate, AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy in his explanation stated, that the perpetrator, MIA, was transported after investigators conducted a series of investigations. Several pieces of evidence, including CCTV footage from the scene, were also secured.

“Based on the results of the investigation, the team successfully identified the alleged perpetrator. He was subsequently arrested,” said AKBP Ressa.

For his actions in assaulting the victim to death, the perpetrator, MIA, was charged under Article 466 paragraph (3) and/or Article 468 paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, concerning assault resulting in death.

The story of the Instagram celebrity named Woodyrman, also known as Mohammad Irman Ali, or MIA, was exposed thanks to a viral video of a disturbance in the Blok M area. The victim and the perpetrator were seen arguing.

Several people were seen trying to break up the altercation. However, the argument continued until the perpetrator hit the victim in the head with a bottle. The victim collapsed at the scene.

“It’s true that an alleged assault incident occurred that resulted in the victim’s death in the Blok M area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

The incident, Kombes Pol Bhudi continued, occurred on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 3:30 a.m. WIB. The victim, identified as MHF (30), whose head was smashed with a bottle by the perpetrator, was pronounced dead at the RSPP on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Kombes Pol Bhudi explained, that the incident began when the victim was nearby with witnesses. Shortly thereafter, several other people arrived and sat and chatted with the victim.

“At around 3:28 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, the alleged perpetrator arrived at the location with his friend in a car. When he got out of the vehicle, the alleged perpetrator was carrying a black paper bag suspected of containing a glass bottle. The perpetrator then approached the victim, leading to an argument at the entrance to Blok M Hub,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

The argument between the two continued and became increasingly heated. Finally, the perpetrator hit the victim on the head with a glass bottle, causing him to fall unconscious.
