BGN Strictly Prohibits SPPGs from Using Subsidized Goods Such as Minyakita and 3-Kg Melon LPG Gas

Head of BGN, Sudaryono.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sudaryono, has emphasized, that Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) are prohibited from using subsidized goods such as Minyakita cooking oil and 3-kilogram (kg) melon LPG gas when implementing the Free Nutritional Meals (MBG) program. If violations are found, he will not hesitate to issue warnings or even threaten kitchen closure.
“Not allowed. You cannot cook for the MBG using Minyakita. You cannot use 3-kilogram melon gas, and you cannot use our SPHP rice. No,” Sudaryono emphasized during a press conference at his office in Central Jakarta on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Therefore, as a form of oversight, BGN is opening up as much space as possible for the public to monitor field operations.
“If anyone finds anything on social media, please report it. Which kitchen uses Minyakita oil. We will issue a letter, even a warning. If they are stubborn and unruly, we will close the kitchen. They are not allowed to use subsidized goods,” he emphasized.
In addition to prohibiting the use of subsidized goods, he also emphasized that MBG kitchen managers should not exploit the plummeting food prices on the market to harm farmers, such as egg prices.
He then cited the example of when the price of eggs at the farm dropped to between Rp12.000 and Rp15.000/kg. Kitchen managers were still required to purchase based on the Government Reference Price (HAP), rather than following the falling market price. This measure was taken to ensure the MBG program functions optimally as a price stabilizer to protect smallholder farmers.
“The price of eggs, which should be Rp25.000 per day at the farm, has dropped to Rp12.000, Rp15.000, as it was yesterday. So, the kitchen manager has to buy eggs instead of Rp12.000 or Rp15.000. He has to buy eggs at the government’s reference price. This ensures price stability and doesn’t harm farmers,” said Sudaryono.
