Bos Gendut had been on the Wanted List (DPO) since October 2025.

He had previously fled after being implicated in a case involving the possession of 98 kg of crystal methamphetamine, Rp1,4 billion in cash, various precious metals, and seven firearms.

BNN Director of Enforcement and Pursuit, Brigjen Pol Roy Hardy Siahaan stated, that when ambushed and arrested, Bos Gendut (MR) offered no resistance, having lost his nerve.

“We ambushed him while he was undergoing liposuction treatment at a beauty clinic in Tamansari,” he said.

Following Bos Gendut’s arrest, the BNN, together with the Polda Metro Jaya Mobile Brigade (Brimob), conducted searches of his home and garage located on Jalan Bak Air and Jalan Samudra in Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

The searches were carried out because, according to Bos Gendut’s statement, there were still narcotics—specifically 1 kg of crystal meth, ecstasy, and vape products—as well as cash and a Glock pistol at his home.

“Ultimately, the BNN team conducted a house search with the assistance of the Polda Metro Jaya Mobile Brigade,” said Brigjen Pol Roy Hardy.

In addition to searching Bos Gendut’s home, the team also searched the residences of other major Kampung Bahari drug dealers: Arif (alias Lopes) and Kimmul. This was done because intelligence indicated that these drug dealers possessed firearms.

It was during this enforcement operation against the major dealers in Kampung Bahari that officers encountered fierce resistance.

“They prepared themselves by illegally purchasing weapons to confront officers and organized resistance against law enforcement. During the operation in Kampung Bahari, they mounted resistance by using children and loyalists to hurl stones—gathered from the nearby railway tracks—and fire off firecrackers and fireworks at the police,” explained Brigjen Pol Roy Hardy.

In addition to apprehending Bos Gendut, officers also arrested three other individuals suspected of acting as drug dealers in the area during the operation.

All those arrested were subsequently taken to the North Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) office, along with the seized evidence, for further questioning regarding the suspected narcotics network.

Meanwhile, a search of the premises resulted in the seizure of various items believed to be linked to the narcotics network’s activities.

The seized evidence included two vehicles, a white BMW X1 and a black Mitsubishi Xpander.

Officers also confiscated equipment such as digital scales, CCTV systems, two-way radios (HTs), and an iPhone.

Furthermore, the joint team discovered items related to firearms.

This evidence included one firearm, a long-barreled weapon, 54 rounds of live 9mm ammunition, 71 rubber bullets, and a holster.
