progresifjaya.co.id, BANJAR – The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Polres of Banjar, Polda of the West Java, achieved a remarkable feat this September. Randegan Hamlet—located in Raharja Village, Purwaharja District, Banjar City—brought honor and prestige to the Banjar Police Traffic Unit by winning 1st place in the Traffic-Orderly Village (Kampung Tertib Lalu Lintas) competition within the Polda of West Java’s Type B Polres category.

This prestigious award was presented during the 71st Anniversary celebration of the Bhayangkara Traffic Corps on September 22, 2026.

Responding to this achievement, the Head of the Polres of Banjar Traffic Unit, AKP Priyo Sumbodo, expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to the entire community. He also commended all parties committed to fostering an environment conscious of road safety.

“This award is the fruit of the hard work and awareness of the Randegan Hamlet community itself. We, the Traffic Unit, merely provided facilitation and education; however, the actual execution and consistent adherence to traffic regulations lay in the hands of the residents,” AKP Priyo Sumbodo told the media on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

He explained, that the selection of Randegan Hamlet, Raharja Village, as the 1st place winner is expected to go beyond the scope of the competition alone. His unit is determined to establish Randegan Hamlet as a pilot project or model for other villages and urban communities in the area.

“We hope the spirit of traffic orderliness demonstrated by Randegan will spread to other areas in Banjar City. Road safety must become a shared necessity and culture—not merely a matter of compliance out of fear when officers are present,” he explained. (Bembo)
