progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – In preparation for the 2026/2027 Indonesia Super League season, Dewa United FC has begun finalizing its squad composition.
Six players are set to remain part of the Banten Warriors team for the upcoming season.
This confirmation was announced by Dewa United FC via the club’s official social media accounts on the evening of Monday, August 24, 2026.
The six players retained and granted contract extensions are Ivar Jenner, Alexis Messidoro, Taisei Marukawa, Noah Sadaoui, Damion Lowe, and Ady Setiawan.
While the specific durations of the new contracts were not disclosed, the decision confirms that all six will continue to bolster the team for the 2026-2027 Indonesia Super League campaign.
Among the six retained players, Ivar Jenner stands out as the most notable name. This is particularly significant given that the Indonesian national team midfielder had previously been linked to a move to another club during the current transfer window.
Persija Jakarta had emerged as a potential suitor rumored to be interested in signing the FC Utrecht academy graduate.
However, that speculation has now been put to rest following Dewa United FC’s confirmation that Jenner is staying.
Ivar Jenner’s continued presence serves as a crucial boost for the Banten Warriors heading into the new season.
The 22-year-old is expected to contribute in midfield while helping maintain the balance of the squad’s local contingent.
In addition to Jenner, Dewa United has retained several foreign players who are integral to the team’s project.
Messidoro, Marukawa, Sadaoui, and Lowe are among the foreign players entrusted to continue with the team for the 2026-2027 season.
With this decision, Dewa United has now filled its quota of eleven foreign players for the upcoming season.
This composition consists of seven players retained from the previous season and four new signings. The seven foreign players remaining with Dewa United are Sonny Stevens, Nick Kuipers, Damion Lowe, Johnathan, Alexis Messidoro, Taisei Marukawa, and Noah Sadaoui.
Meanwhile, the four new foreign players signed by Dewa United are Ko Myeong-seok, Jean Mangabeira, Carlos Lury, and Denilson Junior.
They are expected to bolster the squad managed by Marcos Loss as the team prepares to compete in the 2026-2027 season.
The decision to retain existing players while bringing in new faces demonstrates that the Banten Warriors have already established their team framework ahead of the competition’s start.
A key focus has been maintaining squad continuity while simultaneously upgrading quality in specific positions.
With Ivar Jenner and five other players confirmed to stay, Dewa United is now focusing on finalizing preparations before the 2026-2027 Super League kicks off.
The Banten Warriors are heading into the new season with a relatively stable roster, aiming to clinch the championship title. (Bembo)
