The Polda Metro Jaya Irwasda and subordinate Kapolres inspect the Palmerah Polri SPPG, checking everything from the kitchen to the greenhouse.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Palmerah Police SPPG (Integrated Food and Sanitation Center) under the Polres Metro of West Jakarta served as the site for a visit and benchmarking study led by the Polda Metro Jaya Inspector for Regional Supervision (Irwasda), Brigjen Pol Sri Satya Tama. He was accompanied by Kapolres, the Head of the SPPG, and nutritionists from across Jakarta on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The activity, which took place from 12:10 to 12:50 WIB, was held at the Palmerah Police SPPG, located within the Palmerah Police Housing Complex on Jalan Palmerah Barat III, West Jakarta.

The delegation was personally welcomed by the Kapolres Metro of West Jakarta, Kombes Pol Nasriadi, the Deputy Police Chief, AKBP Rezi Dermawan, along with key officials and personnel from the Polres Metro of West Jakarta.

The visit aimed to observe firsthand the wastewater sanitation management, the processing of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, and the greenhouse operations at the Palmerah Police SPPG—all of which have been running successfully with a record of zero incidents.

During the event, the delegation inspected various stages of food management, ranging from the cooking process to hygiene and sanitation standards.

Checks were conducted to ensure that all processes adhered to food management standards and applicable regulations.

Beyond the kitchen area, the group also inspected the Palmerah Police SPPG greenhouse, which supports the food supply chain for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

The site features freshwater fish farming using the biofloc method, including red tilapia raised in several ponds.

Additionally, the delegation observed the cultivation of various hydroponic vegetables, such as Napa cabbage, bok choy, red spinach, watercress, and tomatoes.

Sanitation was also a key focus of the visit, particularly regarding the proper management and disposal of wastewater.

The food preparation process was also inspected to ensure compliance with food safety standards in the provision of MBG meals. This comparative study aims to share the experience and management practices of the Palmerah Polri SPPG (Community Food Support Center) with managers of other SPPGs, particularly regarding the maintenance of food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety for beneficiaries.

Kapolres Metro of West Jakarta, Kombes Pol Nasriadi stated, that SPPG management should not focus solely on providing nutritious meals; it must also comprehensively oversee every step of the process to ensure the food served is safe, healthy, and fit for consumption.
