progresifjaya.co.id, CIREBON CITY – The Traffic Unit of the Polres Cirebon City is set to intensify traffic oversight, with a primary focus on education and prevention. Nevertheless, motorists who violate traffic regulations remain subject to enforcement, whether through manual or electronic ticketing (ETLE).

This initiative coincides with Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026, a 14-day operation running from Monday, October 26, to Sunday, November 8, 2026. The operation carries the theme: “Police and the Community Working Together to Realize Orderly, Secure, and Safe Traffic.”

Throughout the operation, officers will be deployed to various strategic locations within the Polres Cirebon City jurisdiction—ranging from entry points into the city to major thoroughfares within the urban area.

Kapolres Cirebon City, AKBP Bimantoro Kurniawan stated, that Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 is being conducted simultaneously, employing a three-pronged approach—preemptive, preventive, and repressive—all carried out in a humanistic manner.

“We are conducting this operation for 14 days, from October 26 to November 8, 2026. Naturally, the implementation prioritizes preemptive, preventive, and repressive measures, delivered to the public in a humanistic way,” he said on Monday, October 26, 2026.

In its execution, the Polres Cirebon City Traffic Unit will be supported by a joint task force comprising personnel from several relevant agencies.

These include the Military Police (POM), the Naval Military Police (Pomal), the Transportation Agency, the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), and other key stakeholders. Kapolres Bimantoro emphasized that law enforcement remains a crucial component of the operation.

The police will take action against traffic violations through both manual and electronic ticketing systems.

“In addition to prioritizing preemptive and preventive measures, we are also enforcing the law by issuing tickets, whether manually or electronically,” he stated.

Beyond various traffic violations, the use of exhaust systems that do not meet technical specifications will also be a focus for officers during Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026.

Officers will concentrate their efforts at several strategic locations, including entry points into the Polres Cirebon City jurisdiction and various roads within the urban area.

Through this operation, the police hope to increase public awareness regarding adherence to traffic regulations.

Motorists are also urged to ensure they carry all required vehicle documents, use proper safety equipment, and verify that their vehicles comply with technical standards.
