Two suspects—dealers of thousands of ‘List G’ (restricted) potent drugs and etomidate cartridges—apprehended by the Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Investigation Unit.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba), specifically Unit 1 Sub-unit 2, has successfully uncovered an alleged narcotics offense and the distribution of potent medicines as part of Operation Nila Jaya 2026.

During the operation, officers arrested two suspects—identified by the initials MS (31) and RA (27)—at two separate locations in the Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, in the early hours of Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The Head of the Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKBP Vernal A. Sambo stated, that the case came to light following public information regarding suspected narcotics abuse, believed to stem from transaction activities in the West Jakarta area.

Acting on this information, the Unit 1 Sub-unit 2 team conducted surveillance and an investigation.

The team, led by the Head of Sub-unit 2 (Unit 1), Iptu Satria Arya Pradana, subsequently carried out an enforcement action and successfully apprehended the two suspects.

The first arrest took place around 01:00 WIB on Jalan Bahari II, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta.

Subsequently, at approximately 03:00 WIB, officers made an arrest at the Damai Mulia boarding house on Jalan Damai Kebon Kacang, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

“During the search, we successfully discovered and seized various types of drugs suspected of being subject to abuse, including 9.000 Hexymer pills, 2.760 Trihexyphenidyl pills, another 1.000 Hexymer pills, 500 Tramadol pills, as well as various medications containing alprazolam, diazepam, clonazepam, lorazepam, estazolam, nitrazepam, methylphenidate, and other substances,” explained AKBP Vernal on Friday, September 18, 2026.

“In addition, we seized 10 cartridges containing etomidate, 10 Riklona (clonazepam) units, six mobile phones, and Rp3,9 million in cash,” he added.

He further explained, that this operation is part of the police’s efforts to curb the circulation and abuse of narcotics and drugs prone to misuse within the community.

“This case resolution is the result of the Nila Jaya 2026 operation series,” AKBP Vernal emphasized.

He added, that all seized evidence has been secured by the Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Investigation Unit for further examination and investigation in accordance with applicable laws.

The Polres Metro of West Jakarta also urged the public to play an active role by providing information if they become aware of suspected narcotics abuse or the trafficking of illicit drugs in their neighborhoods. (Bembo)
