progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — The Polda Metro Jaya are mobilizing security measures for the simultaneous Village Head Elections (Pilkades) in Bekasi Regency, which will take place across 154 villages on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Security operations are being carried out by the Polres Metro of Bekasi in coordination with relevant agencies. Security strategies are tailored to the specific conditions and risk levels of each area.

The Head of Public Relations for Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, urged candidates, supporters, and the general public to respect every stage of the election process and to maintain a spirit of brotherhood.

“We call upon all parties to demonstrate a willingness to both win and lose gracefully, and to ensure that differences in choice do not trigger conflict,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi at the Polda Metro Jaya headquarters on Friday, September 18, 2026.

The public is also urged to avoid provocation, intimidation, threats, or any actions that could compromise security. Should any grievances arise, it is expected that they be resolved through established legal mechanisms.

Polda Metro Jaya is also taking preemptive measures against potential gambling activities linked to the election. The General Criminal Investigation Directorate, together with the Polres of Bekasi, will take enforcement action if any suspected gambling practices are discovered.

“Personnel have been instructed to prioritize a humane and professional approach while maintaining security. We also invite the community to work together in keeping the situation stable so that all stages of the election proceed safely and orderly,” added Kombes Pol Bhudi. (Bembo)
