progresifjaya.co.id,  JAKARTA — The Polres Metro of West Jakarta followed up on circulating reports regarding alleged levies and activities in the Kalijodo area by conducting an on-site inspection and gathering information from various parties on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Kapolres Metro of West Jakarta, Kombes Pol Nasriadi stated, that the inspection was conducted to verify whether the circulating information matched the actual conditions on the ground.

“Officers have inspected the location and gathered information to objectively establish the facts. We will investigate any information obtained in accordance with applicable regulations,” said Kombes Pol Nasriadi.

Initial checks revealed that the collection point for the Rp10.000 entry fee was located within the Tambora District, West Jakarta. Meanwhile, the Kalijodo Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) also drew attention, despite being situated in the Penjaringan area of ​​North Jakarta. The Polres Metro of West Jakarta are currently investigating the basis, management, and purpose of these levies in coordination with relevant parties.

Preliminary information gathered indicates that the fee collection took place on Saturday night. Tents previously used at the site have since been dismantled. Police also discovered sound equipment used for entertainment activities within the green open space area. Authorities intend to seek clarification regarding the management and permitting of these activities from the relevant parties.

Regarding reports of alcoholic beverages, preliminary information suggests that some visitors consumed alcohol when the area was crowded on Saturday night. This information is still being investigated and cannot yet serve as a basis to conclude that the sale or distribution of alcohol is taking place at the location.

Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated, that the police, together with the local government and relevant agencies, continue to coordinate to ensure that public spaces can be used by the community safely, comfortably, and in an orderly manner.

“Public spaces are shared facilities that we must safeguard. If the public encounters suspected violations or disturbances to public order and security, please report the information to the nearest police station or via the Polri’s 110 service so that immediate action can be taken,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.
