The suspected perpetrator behind the murder of a woman named Rini Ali Soraya—identified by the initials RA—has been apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Polres Sukabumi.

progresifjaya.co.id, SUKABUMI – A man identified by the initials RA was apprehended by the Polres Sukabumi Criminal Investigation Unit on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at approximately 05:00 WIB, while hiding in a field hut in Cibenda Village, Ciemas District. RA was taken into custody for the alleged murder of a housewife named Rini Ali Soraya in Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

Polres Sukabumi Public Relations Officer, Iptu Ilham Sapta, confirmed the arrest.

“That is correct; on Sunday, October 18, 2026, the Polres Sukabumi Criminal Investigation Unit successfully apprehended a man with the initials RA, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder,” stated Iptu Ilham in a written release on Monday, October 19, 2026.

He noted, that investigators are currently examining the extent of RA’s involvement in Rini’s death.

“The Polres Sukabumi have reaffirmed their commitment to handling this case professionally and in accordance with applicable law. The public is urged to remain calm and entrust the legal process to the police,” said Iptu Ilham.

For context, Rini’s body was discovered in a teak plantation area in Kampung Margaluyu Dua, Girimukti Village, Ciemas District, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

At the time of discovery, the victim’s body was already emitting a strong, foul odor.

The arrest of RA marks the latest development in the investigation into the death of Rini, who is believed to have been a victim of murder. Investigators are continuing to look into the case. (Bembo)
