Tangerang City Metro Polres Temporarily Ban Mining Dump Trucks During Christmas and New Year Holidays, Establish 10 Pospam

Kapolres Metro Tangerang, Kombes Pol Raden Muhammad Jauhari.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Tangerang City Metro Polres have established 10 security posts (Pospam) in areas prone to mining dump trucks during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday period. These 10 Pospams will maintain full surveillance from December 25, 2025, to January 2.
The establishment of these 10 Pospams is based on a joint decision between the Director General of Land Transportation, the Director General of Sea Transportation, the Director General of Highways, and the Kakorlantas Polri.
This joint decision is also reinforced by Tangerang Mayoral Regulation Number 93 of 2022 and Tangerang Regent Circular Letter Number 18 of 2025 concerning the temporary suspension of mining dump truck operations during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Here are the 10 Pospams established in areas prone to mining dump trucks;
- Sepatan Area: Cadas Intersection Post
- Pakuhaji Area: Kramat Intersection Post
- Teluknaga Area: Bojong Renged Intersection Post and Post in front of the French Police Post
- Neglasari Area: Haka Honda Motorcycle Dealer Post on Jl. Suryadharma
- Jatiuwung Area: Post in front of Oasis and Sekat Palem Semi Post
- Tangerang Area: Buatan Indah Post and Jam Gede Jasa Post
- Benda Area: Rawa Bokor Intersection Post
Kapolres Metro Tangerang City, Kombes Pol Raden Muhammad Jauhari in an official statement to the media on Friday, December 26, 2025, stated, that the establishment of these 10 Pospam aims to temporarily prohibit the use of dump trucks transporting mining products on the highway. This ban is an effort to anticipate traffic congestion due to increased traffic volumes during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
“As we all know, the available road capacity remains the same and is limited. Meanwhile, the volume of vehicles on the roads increases during the Christmas and New Year holidays,” said Kapolres Raden Muhammad Jauhari.
“And clearly, this has the potential to cause heavy and congested traffic. The public will ultimately feel uncomfortable and unsafe carrying out their activities as a result. That’s why we’ve established 10 Pospam (posts) to prevent and anticipate this from happening,” he added.
Regarding this temporary ban, Kapolres Raden Muhammad Jauhari hopes that mining transportation companies will cooperate, understand and comply. The purpose of this temporary ban is for the common good.
Although dump trucks transporting mining products are subject to the temporary ban, this regulation does not apply to other types of goods transportation, such as those transporting fuel/gas fuel, money, animals, animal feed, fertilizer, basic necessities, and for natural disaster relief. However, they must have a valid cargo document. If you don’t have one, sorry, you’re kicked out of the field, bro.
“To maintain a safe and conducive public order and security situation, as well as smooth traffic flow, I ask that all companies and dump truck service providers comply with this regulation. We’re all here,” said Kapolres Raden Muhammad Jauhari jokingly. (Bembo)
