progresifjaya.co.id, TANGERANG — Condemned for his heinous act, a man with the initials FK (38), a casual laborer, has been named a murder suspect by the Tangerang City Metro Polres Criminal Investigation Unit. FK is strongly suspected of murdering LHN (75), the perpetrator’s adoptive daddy, at their home in Mushala Alley, Kampung Kelor Village, East Sepatan District, Tangerang Regency, Banten.

The murder of LHN by his adopted son, FK, occurred on Saturday, January 10, 2026. LHN was found dead by her younger sibling inside the house. After a thorough examination, the younger sibling immediately filed a police report with the Sepatan Polsek.

The Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto in his official statement stated, that the case was handled in accordance with applicable legal procedures. No steps were omitted.

“Investigators from the Tangerang City Metropolitan Polres Criminal Investigation Unit have completed all stages of the investigation before naming a suspect. This includes processing the crime scene, questioning witnesses, securing and examining evidence, and conducting a case conference to determine the suspect,” explained Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, Sunday, January 18, 2026

“The naming of the suspect is in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP). It is based on at least two valid pieces of evidence, including witness testimony, expert testimony, and evidence used in the crime,” he added.

Kombes Pol Budi also stated, that based on witness testimony, the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim by strangling and hitting her with a block. After the victim fell, the suspect struck her in the face several times with a lightweight brick, causing bleeding and a skull fracture, leading to her death. Witnesses also reported seeing the victim leaving the scene after the incident.

Regarding the alleged motive for the crime, Kombes Pol Bhudi continued, it was closely related to economic problems. The suspect needed money to meet family needs and repair public transportation. Furthermore, the victim reportedly promised to give the suspect the proceeds from the sale of their house. However, this promise was never fulfilled, as the victim, LHN, succumbed to her premature death.

Investigators ultimately charged suspect FK with Article 458 paragraph (1) of the New Criminal Code concerning murder due to his barbaric actions in killing his adoptive father by strangling him, hitting him with a block of wood, and smashing him with a hebel brick.
