progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Two men, identified as A (35) and F (25), were arrested by the Operational Team of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Directorate at the Mediterania Apartments on Jalan Gajah Mada, West Jakarta, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at around 1:30 a.m. WIB. The two men were arrested for posing as dealers of ecstasy pills in West Jakarta. From the two perpetrators, 500 ecstasy pills, ready for distribution, were seized as evidence.

Acting Head of Unit 4 of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Directorate, AKP Joko, stated, that the two men, A and F, were arrested based on information received from the public regarding alleged drug abuse in the West Jakarta area.

Armed with this information, the Operational Team from Sub-Directorate 1 of the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Directorate immediately conducted an investigation and visited the reported location. Suspects A and F were located and detained. During the search, 500 ecstasy pills and a cellphone suspected of being used for communication and transactions were also seized, which will serve as evidence to strengthen the case.

“From the initial investigation, the two suspects admitted to obtaining the illicit goods from an individual with the initials A, who is currently on the wanted list (DPO). They admitted to obtaining the ecstasy via courier service,” said AKP Joko.

He also stated, that the case is currently under investigation to track down the wider ecstasy distribution network. Suspects A and F are currently undergoing further questioning and are being held in the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Directorate detention center along with all the evidence. (Bembo)
