Polda Metro Jaya Intervene in Case of Two Domestic Workers Who Jumped from Boarding House in Benhil

progresifjaya co.id, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya have intervened in the case of two domestic workers (PRT) who jumped from the fourth floor of a boarding house in Bendungan Hilir (Benhil), Central Jakarta. One domestic worker died and the other was injured.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, April 22, 2026. The domestic worker, identified as R (15), died in the incident, while the other, D (30), was injured.
This information was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto.
“Yes, (the handling) is still a joint effort of the Polres Metro of Central Jakarta and the Polda Metro Jaya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Friday, April 24, 2026.
Meanwhile, Kapolres Metro of Central Jakarta, Kombes Pol Reynold Hutagalung stated in a statement, that investigators are currently gathering information from the surviving domestic workers. The agency that placed the two domestic workers will also be questioned.
“We will also summon the domestic workers’ agency to obtain their statements. This step is important so that investigators obtain complete and comprehensive information, so that the case can be handled professionally, carefully, and balanced,” said Kapolres Kombes Pol Reynold.
Investigators questioned the employer on Thursday, April 23, 2026. According to the surviving domestic workers, they committed the jump to escape because their employer was cruel and made them paranoid, making them feel at ease with their work.
