progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Caught lying as a police officer and a video of his vicious assault on a gas station employee in the Cipinang area went viral on social media, the perpetrator, identified as JMH, was left utterly embarrassed after being thrown into a bag by a real police officer.

The story of JMH’s utter embarrassment occurred on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at around 10:10 PM WIB. The crime scene was at a Pertamina gas station in Cipinang, East Jakarta. The incident began when a black Toyota Vellfire attempted to fill up with Pertalite fuel. However, the gas station attendant refused because the barcode did not match the vehicle’s license plate number. Filling could not proceed as required. Furthermore, regulations require Toyota Vellfires with 2.500 cc engines to use non-subsidized fuel (minimum 92 octane rating) and not to use a Pertamina barcode.

However, this rejection apparently triggered JMH, the driver of the Toyota Vellfire. He then got out and assaulted several gas station workers. Several employees were beaten, including an officer who attempted to intervene. One of the victims then filed a report with the Pulogadung Polsek on Monday, February 23, 2026, and the case was handled by the Pulogadung Polsek Criminal Investigation Unit, East Jakarta Metro Polres.

Following up on a viral video on Instagram with the account @nestagram, which narrated “a beating by individuals claiming to be officers,” the Polda Metro Jaya’s Internal Affairs D Sector, along with members of the East Jakarta Metro Polres Criminal Investigation Unit and the Pulogadung Polsek Criminal Investigation Unit, immediately conducted an investigation and sought clarification. The perpetrator, identified as JMH, was also found not to be a member of the Polri. The license plate number on the vehicle was also not properly registered.

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at around 4:00 PM WIB, a joint team from the East Jakarta Metro Polres Criminal Investigation Unit and the Pulogadung Polsek Criminal Investigation Unit apprehended JMH in the Rawalumbu area of East Bekasi. He was then taken to the East Jakarta Metro Polres for further questioning.

The Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, also confirmed in a statement, that the perpetrator, JMH, was an entrepreneur and not a member of the police force.

“The perpetrator has been apprehended and is confirmed not to be a member of the Polri. He is currently being processed by investigators from the East Jakarta Metro Polres. We ensure that the case will be handled professionally and transparently,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi in a statement on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Furthermore, Kombes Pol Bhudi also appealed to the public to respond wisely to information circulating on social media and to await official clarification from the authorities to avoid misunderstandings.

“We urge the public to remain calm and not be influenced by unverified information. If you witness similar incidents or acts of violence, report them immediately through the 110 Call Center or the nearest police station. Every report will be followed up,” he firmly urged. (Bembo)
