progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Industry and Trade Sub-Directorate (Indag) of the Special Crimes Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the Polda Metro Jaya, along with the Clean Sweep Task Force (Saber), and relevant stakeholders, checked prices and availability of staple foods at Kopro Market, West Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

This effort was made to maintain food price stability and prevent hoarding practices that could harm the public ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026.

This effort is also part of the Clean Sweep Task Force for Price Violations (SSBPH), Food Safety, and Quality, established based on Decree of the Head of the Indonesian National Development Planning Agency (BAPANAS) Number 4 of 2026.

During this activity, the team conducted direct monitoring at the market to ensure that traders were selling commodities in accordance with the Sales Reference Price (HAP) and the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the government.

The Head of the Trade and Industry Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate, AKBP Muh Ardila Amry stated, that this monitoring will continue periodically to ensure the price and availability of staple foods remain stable within the Polda Metro Jaya’s jurisdiction.

“We are conducting this monitoring to ensure that staple food prices remain stable and that they are available to the public. We also remind traders and distributors not to engage in hoarding or price manipulation practices that could harm the public, especially as Eid al-Fitr approaches,” he explained.

In addition to price monitoring, the Saber Task Force is also anticipating potential hoarding of staple foods such as cooking oil, chilies, rice, sugar, and meat. Therefore, the Polda Metro Jaya will continue to coordinate with the National Logistics Agency (Bulog), the National Food and Agriculture Agency (Badan Bapanas), and local governments to ensure food stocks remain available and staple food prices remain under control so that the public can meet their basic needs at reasonable prices as Eid approaches.
